Parameters for digital images of the title page, front matter, other selections are as follows:

The edges of the pages must be visible*

Raw resolution** must be at least 400dpi

Dimensions*** should be as close to 500 x 800 pixels as possible

The image should be in color

Save the image in JPG format

Filenames**** must use the following convention: 001.jpg, 002.jpg, xxx.jpg

* To ensure that our images are appropriate for inclusion into the WRLC digital image repository, they must show the entirety of the page, including margins. Be sure your photo includes about 1/4" beyond the edges of the page. 

** When taking your photos, be sure that the original photographic resolution is high. You cnanot scale the resolution up in an image editing program like Photoshop. A camera of at least 3MP should be appropriate, but you should double check in PhotoShop and retake the photos if necessary.

*** Ensure that your photos are cropped as closely as possible to these dimensions. Each book is different, so these dimensions will vary, but try to ensure that your images have a consistent size.

**** Name your file images 001.jpg, 002.jpg, and so on, depending on the location in the text of your contribution. Omeka will present the images in the order you upload them, not according to the filename. This is for our organizational purposes: upload your images in this order, so they display appropriately.
